Growing a Fiber Arts Economy A group of fiber farmers, craft artists, mills, processors, educators and retailers have started an initiative to grow the Western North Carolina region’s economy by focusing on fiber-related businesses. Craft Events
Check out HandMade in America’s calendar of craft events to find craft fairs, art shows, and festivals throughout Western North Carolina! Connect with WNC CraftHandMade: The Western North Carolina Craft, Architecture & Design Expo was a huge success. We had a total of 1,111 people in total attendance with 78 participating in tours of homes exhibiting handcrafted furnishings throughout the Asheville area. Thanks to the 300 plus participating craft artists, interior designers, landscape architects, architects, builders, volunteers, and workshop presenters for their tireless efforts. Thanks also to the North Carolina Arboretum and to all of our sponsors!
