Barbara Zaretsky specializes in handcrafted contemporary block-printed textiles. Made with natural fibers, plant dyes and textile paints, each table runner, placemat, napkin, pillow or throw is unique. Natural and organic fabrics are dyed twice, often incorporating a clamp-resist technique to create pattern. Block printing adds another layer of surface design. The simplicity of the pattern and warm earth-toned palette evoke a sense of calm.
